Trans-Spec & Micro-Trans-Spec

Micro-trans-SPEC is small and light, compared to all other portable HPGe spectrometers, (LN 2 cooled and electrically cooled). It extends the range of applicability of HPGe portable spectrometers. Micro-trans-SPEC provides everything you need in a single easy-to-handle package. It delivers many advantages to any application: no need for liquid nitrogen, no long cables, one complete package and always ready for use.
The trans-SPEC-N is an N-type HPGe gamma-ray spectrometer with everything you need in a single easy-to-handle package. There is no need for liquid nitrogen and no long cables. Everything is complete in one package and ready for use.

Detective-X

Features:

  • Portable – Light weight, “one-hand” operation with GPS location. The Detective X is about 50% lighter than the industry-leading ORTEC Detective-EX-100T.
  • Extremely Rugged – Designed for military use. Can accommodate –20°C to +50°C temperatures. IP65 rating (water proof, dust proof) and drop hardened.
  • Superior Algorithms – Excellent detection and ID capability and a much better false alarm rate compared to other systems. There are more than 175 radionuclides in the library.
  • Auto Calibration – Continuous real-time detector stabilization keeps the instrument calibrated at all times.
  • Enhanced Communication Capability – Equipped with IEEE 802.11a/b/g/e/i/h/j standards and IEEE 802.11n wireless, wired Ethernet, USB, Bluetooth and remote control via smartphones (Android, iOS, and Windows PC). Can easily be remotely controlled and monitored from a central location.
  • Optional Li6ZnS neutron detector (no 3He).
  • Removable high capacity USB Flash Drive.
  • Simple to operate: Bright, clear, SUNLIGHT READABLE display, touch sensitive screen, and intuitive menus.
  • Operating time of up to 10 hours with dual batteries (hot swappable).
  • Large HPGe Crystal (65 mm x 50 mm).

IDM-200-V

The IDM-200-V Interchangeable Detector Module from ORTEC is a high performance gamma-ray spectrometry “building block” for use in multiple applications. It is a completely self-contained package, comprising a single, large-area, mechanically cooled high-purity germanium (HPGe) detector of standardized crystal dimensions and all necessary spectrometry electronics in a RUGGED, low-power configuration. The IDM-200-V includes everything needed for the high resolution spectrometry task, producing either a resultant spectrum in memory or delivering a digitized pulse stream in list mode format to an attached PC for further analysis.

Software

The ORTEC Detective-Remote software is a Windows ®-based software application used in ORTEC’s radiological search systems. It can be used with ORTEC Detective-200 radionuclide identifiers, or other compatible ORTEC portable identification instrument models, to perform accurate radioisotope identification for multiple applications. The analysis algorithms in the new Detective-Remote V4 software have been significantly improved based on testing ORTEC has performed (including tests with Special Nuclear Material). The system can be deployed for a variety of applications including wide area searches, vehicle monitoring (roadways, bridges or tunnels), pedestrian monitoring, or as a high efficiency nuclide identifier with excellent standoff detection. Detective-Remote software offers a universal search tool that can be configured to meet almost any CONOPS requirement.
